Surfe lets you create and manage follow-up tasks directly from the Side Panel, so you can keep track of next steps without leaving LinkedIn.
Tasks are synced with your connected CRM and can be associated with the contact you're viewing.
Create a task
To create a task:
- Open a contact's profile in LinkedIn.
- Make sure the contact is synced to your CRM.
- Open the Side Panel and access the Tasks section (in the Menu).
- Create a New Task
- Add the relevant details:
- Task name (if not added, the Task can't be created)
- Due date and time
- Assignee
- Status or label
- Comments
Save the task.
Once created, the task is synced to your CRM.
View and manage your tasks
You can view tasks associated with a contact directly from their profile, or access your tasks from the main Side Panel menu.
Tasks are organised by:
- Overdue
- Due today
- Upcoming
Each task shows key information such as the contact, due date, and assignee.
You can also:
- Edit a task
- Mark a task as completed
- Delete a task
- Search for tasks by contact name, LinkedIn URL, or task name
Completed tasks remain visible so you can keep track of your activity history.
How Notes and Activities work across CRMs
The way Notes, Tasks, and Activities are structured depends on the CRM you're using.
Pipedrive
In Pipedrive, Notes are separate from Activities.
A Note is simply a piece of text associated with a Lead, Deal, Person, or Organization.
Activities are used for actions such as calls, meetings, emails, and deadlines.
HubSpot
In HubSpot, Notes and Tasks are both considered Activities, alongside many other activity types.
This means they appear within the same activity framework in HubSpot, even though they serve different purposes.
