Connecting to Salesforce with Surfe

Surfe makes it easy to transfer contact information into Salesforce, allowing you to manage Salesforce data directly from your contact's profiles, streamline workflow, saving time, and reducing the need for manual data entry!

How to connect Surfe with Salesforce after August 19, 2025

Salesforce has changed its security rules.

From now on, you won’t be able to connect Surfe to Salesforce on your own.

Your Salesforce Admin needs to take action first. The CRM Admin needs to approve which users get access to the App.

What you (or your Salesforce Admin) must do to connect to Surfe

1. Ask your Salesforce Admin to go to Setup → Connected Apps OAuth Usage.

2. Find Surfe in the list and Install / Approve the app for the organization.

3. Optionally: set the app permissions so “All users may self-authorize” or grant specific profiles access.

4. Once approved/installed, users should clear browser cache & cookies (to avoid OAuth issues), then try connecting Surfe again.

👉 After your Admin completes one of these steps, you’ll be able to log into Surfe and connect it to Salesforce as usual.

Suggestion: Clearing your cache and cookies will also help authenticating once these steps are completed.

Connecting to Salesforce with Surfe

1. Install Surfe Extension

First, connect to your CRM using your Chrome browser and install the Surfe extension. Surfe will use your Salesforce email as your login. For easy access, click the Extension button in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser and pin Surfe.

2. Connect to Salesforce

Once the extension is installed, Surfe will prompt you to connect your preferred CRM, and choose Salesforce from the available options.

NOTE

​Surfe currently does not support Salesforce sandboxes.

3. Connect Your Account

• Surfe will ask you to log in with your Salesforce account and grant certain permissions. These permissions are necessary for Surfe to access and update your CRM and ensure the information you want to add is correctly transferred and synchronized.

• That's it! You're now connected. Surfe will now automatically take you to oyour contacts so you can start prospecting!

Stuck on an issue? No problem! Here’s a possible reason:

Verify Surfe's Status in Salesforce. Always check with your CRM admin to ensure that Surfe has not been added to the list of exceptions to be blocked in your Salesforce CRM integration.

API Access Required

API access is required to use Surfe with Salesforce, but it isn't available in all Salesforce plans. To check if your current plan includes API access, you can refer to this article or contact your Salesforce Account Executive directly.

If you're using Salesforce Professional Edition, API access can be purchased separately. Be sure to confirm your Salesforce plan's details here to ensure compatibility with Surfe.
